New DUI Laws in California

Senate Bill 1990 lowered the necessary BAC that is required before courts can mandate the placement of an ignition interlock device inside of their vehicles.
Senate Bill 1388 requires an offender to install an ignition interlock device in all of their vehicles after driving under the influence or driving with a suspended driver's license that had occurred after a DUI conviction.
Assembly Bill 2802 requires those who convicted of driving recklessly while under the influence who had previous alcohol-related offense to take place in treatment programs.
